Description :
There may be two ways to start this quest if not please let us know: 1. Examine a Dirty, "broken" Ancient Kite Shield picked up by inspecting a body near the entrance to the Vale of the Shattering. 2. This quest is initiated by examining a Dirt Caked Shield that drops on monsters in Antonica (gnolls confirmed).
Once you have the quest first the Shield needs to be taken to Crater Pond to be cleaned. The 'perfect' spot is atop the center meteorite. Examine it to update the quest.
You must then collect 3 lowland badger furs in order to get bristles to scrub the shield. The best place to hunt for these is around the center and southern towers.
You must then collect acidic poison from 5 earthcrawlers in order to shine up the shield.
After you have done all this you will receive your reward.
